Joya de Nicaragua Cigars

The Joya de Nicaragua cigar brand is owned by the Tobacco Puros de Nicaragua, South America. It was first created in the earliest cigar factory in Nicaragua which opened in the Esteli city in the year 1964.
The name Joya de Nicaragua means “The Jewel of Nicaragua”. Around the 1970s, the Joya de Nicaragua brand was maybe the best brand in the world. It was appreciated for its rich essence. Although during the war in Nicaragua, the factory was burned down and since then the glory of Joya de Nicaragua has not reached its former best.
At the turn of the century, the Joya de Nicaragua has taken on an easygoing, mild flavor. The Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 was one of the foremost “high octane” cigars to be sold in the beginning of the 21st century. The cigar has an extremely heavy, powerful, thick smoke which is further highlighted by an oily, rich and wet-looking wrapper. It comes in a number of sizes to suit everyone’s needs and likes.
“All Muscle, all the time,” is the motto of Joya de Nicaragua cigars. The Joya de Nicaragua antano 1970 helped revive the lost glory of the Joya brand. It was rated 91 in the Cigar Insider, a 92 in Cigar Aficionado and made to the best 5 in the Robb Report’s yearly Best of the Best in 2003.
The cigar tip is finished using a round cap. The construction of the cigar is solid and soft spots are absent. Well balanced when held in hand, its early draw is good and firm. An aroma of aged tobacco and earth comes from the wrapper.
The wrapper used for the Joya de Nicaragua Antano is thick and takes a few high blasts to get a full light. Once lit though, it does not put forth any burn issues. The ash produced is dark gray and holds on well till about 2 inches every time. The cigar produces a lot of smoke but stays cool and nice till the very end.
The Joya de Nicaragua is full flavored and full bodied. The Flavors hits the palate as if like a cargo train! Starting with a rush of earthy flavors, the cigar leads to mild earthy flavors with notes of espresso and cocoa.
The Joya de Nicaragua cigars are powerhouses of flavor. The cigars are spicy and rich and have an excellent draw. The dark and thick wrapper burns nicely. All in all a treat for people who wants to enjoy a very full bodied and complex smoke at a price extremely reasonable.
