La Vieja Habana cigars are currently produced by the Drew Estate. They are premium quality cigars and are of the “infused type”. They are full bodied cigars.
Originally La Vieja Habana cigars were introduced in 1994. They went off from the market for a few years till re-introduced by the Drew Estate in the year 2002. They were originally manufactured in New York from 1994 to 1996, and then the production shifted to Miami by the Nick's C Company from 1996 to 1998. After that the production was temporarily stopped till it was re-started in 2002.
La Vieja Habana was Drew Estate’s original brand, formerly made by Antonio Almanzar till 1996 in New York City, and now manufactured in Nicaragua. These mixed filler cigars are produced with finest quality leftover leaves and have an exceptionally good smoking value. Before the Drew Estate had hit the cigar market, “flavored cigars” used to be shunned by most consumers and connoisseurs of premium handmade cigars. Historically, all types of flavored cigars had their flavors added to them for covering up of inferior quality tobacco and these cigars catered to the less classy palate.
A “true cigar lover” would not be even caught dead smoking an inferior cigar like “flavored cigar”. And then came the revolutionary Drew Estate. This company did not market their products as flavored cigars, but as “infused cigars”. La Vieja Habana Cigars did not have fflavors added to cover up their inferior tobacco.
The La Vieja Habana cigars of Drew Estate are of supreme quality as they are a result of the close bond between a supportive crew of committed, fervent cigar enthusiasts. The Drew Estate was started in year 1998 with the goal of becoming world-class cigar makers. They adhere to time honored traditions at the same time as maintaining their own unique style and devotion to industry diversity.
The Drew Estate line of La Vieja Habana Cigars is made of the premium quality tobacco and the flavor is derived from the infusion of high quality, natural herbs and oils. The actual ingredients and blending “recipes” are kept highly secret. Unlike some other c manufacturers, Drew Estate does not offer tours of their factory. Over 200 different herbs and oils are used in the production of the various product lines, but the rest of the constituents and even the blending process are kept a highly guarded secret.
The La Vieja Habana Cigars are made from first generation of Cuban Corojo seeds that are grown in the Jamastran Valley of Honduras. These are full-bodied tobacco cigars with a strong and spicy flavor. The cigars have dark brown wrappers of Colorado Maduro type.
These cigars give a good smoking value. They are very competitively priced without compromising anywhere in quality.
